李蜜成长于一个体育之家，父母都曾是福建省体工队的运动员，受家庭影响，李蜜自小喜欢运动也喜欢看书，闲暇时分练习小楷是她最大的爱好。动静兼具的性格造就了她与众不同的气质：自信阳光又细腻沉稳，使她如飞瀑，倾泻而下时激情万丈、光彩耀眼，落入湖底时静谧安详、清澈凛冽。这也使得舞台上、镜头中的李蜜，清凉中透着光华，既有青春的活力，又有新闻人的端庄、严谨，称她为中国央视美女主播实不为过。

从第五届cctv电视节目主持人大赛中走出来的李蜜，脸上有了更多自信的光芒，那是经过历练后显出的成熟。李蜜说，主持人这一行就像一口井，越挖越有。主持一个节目带给她的绝不仅仅是外表的光鲜和荣耀，而是自我价值的体现和内心的满足感，主持之于她，将是追求一生的事业而不是谋生的职业。美丽的李蜜并没有将亮丽的外表作为自己征服观众的武器，她说，韶华终将逝去，丰富的内心才是一个优秀主持人长久活跃在舞台上的法宝。李蜜说，她喜欢曾子墨、杨澜这类知性、智慧型的女主持人，希望自己也能像她们一样，站在中国新闻报道的最前沿。

看着今天的李蜜，你很难想象她在高中时还是一个说话就会脸红的小姑娘。李蜜在高二时就参加了福建“金话筒”主持人大赛高中组比赛，并在比赛中获得第二名，台下观众赞赏的目光让她看到了自己的潜力，至今仍在鞭策她不断前进，达到一个又一个目标。对李蜜来说，参加第五届中国中央电视台电视节目主持人大赛是一次自我认识的机会。在长达九年的时间里，她每天都处于高强度的工作压力下，但压力没有让她枯萎相反却给了她更多的智慧，正如她在参赛宣言里说的那样，“展现自我、完善自我”才是她的目的。初赛时，李蜜的成绩并不理想，但是多年的运动生涯给了她同龄人少有的拼搏和坚韧，使她的状态越来越好，反而在众多选手中首先晋级决赛并荣登银奖宝座。李蜜说：“对于这个舞台我不会放弃，我会继续走下去。”谈到这里，李蜜的脸上流露出坚定的表情。这个青春逼人的女孩，会带着她的理想和她的美丽盛放，就像花儿开在春风里。
